A. Life Cycle Challenge
Different species have different life cycles. If we want to help protect elephants we have to understand their life cycle.
Life Cycle Challenge: We’re going to act like scientists again and observe three different species of animal to find out why the elephant life cycle might make it harder to protect them?
Directions: Read about each species and then answer the questions in your Mission Log.
Answer these questions for each species in your Mission Log:
- How long does this species live?
- How many babies does it have at one time?
- How long is the gestation period? (How long is a mom pregnant?)
