Project Title: Ugly Foods and Hungry People

Mission:

How can we address hunger and food waste?

Culminating / Take Action Project

Fundraiser to support an organization addressing hunger or food waste.

What Kids Learn

Did you know that Americans waste about 150,000 tons of food every day? Did you know that one in every six kid in America might not get enough food.  We have enough food to feed everyone in this country yet many people go hungry.

In this project you will learn all about what is a food crisis, why we have hungry people in the United States and around the world, why we should care, who is helping and how we can help.  You will then take action by creating food clips to sell and fundraise for an organization that is helping with food waste or helping the hungry.
