Project Title: Save the Whales

Mission:

How can we help to save the whales?

Culminating / Take Action Project

Create a reusable “Save the whales” bag or recycled art poster to save plastic and teach others about how we can help to save the whales.

What Kids Learn

Students learn all about key features of a whale, what makes them special, why they are in danger, who is helping and how we can help. Students engage in a series of learning activities about whales. They learn how whales have shown courage and live in pods to support one another.  Students also learn about how ocean pollution is endangering whales. Students then take action by raising awareness about how we can all help to save the whales by creating a reusable art with a message about how we can help to protect these endangered animals.
