Project Title: Save the Gorillas?

Mission:

How can we help to save the gorillas?

Culminating / Take Action Project

Create a 3D gorilla pop-up awareness card to share why gorillas are special and what we can do to help save them.

What Kids Learn

Students learn all about what is special about gorillas, why they are in danger, who is helping and how we can help. Students engage in a series of science citizenship activities. They learn that gorillas are super learners and have great memories, can learn sign language and also teach their young how to survive in a troop. Students also learn that all four species of gorillas are in danger and what threats face them. Students then take action by raising awareness about how we can all help to save the gorillas by creating a 3D gorilla pop-up awareness card.
