Description

Rock by Rock is seeking a highly organized and efficient Manager of Operations to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting our co-founders, overseeing finance and bookkeeping, enhancing customer service and sales operations, and managing communication processes and systems. 

Responsibilities

  1. Manage calendars, events, daily tasks, and operations for both co-founders, including meeting agendas, travel itineraries, and material orders.
  2. Oversee support and admin accounts for the team, enhancing efficiencies and establishing knowledge management for shared systems.
  3. Develop sustainable supply chains for external platforms, improve customer service and satisfaction, and lead coordination across divisions for smoother workflow and cost-effectiveness.
  4. Manage communications, managing email audiences, managing the updating of our drip campaigns, and updating senior management with data needs.
  5. Oversee the publishing of designed courses on our site, ensure accuracy in copyediting and functioning of the library feature.
  6. Finance, Bookkeeping, and Sales Operations:
    • Plan, direct, and monitor budgets and cost of sales across divisions, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
    • Manage ongoing bookkeeping, identify cost reduction opportunities, and handle expense coding and reconciliation.
    • Run monthly payroll and ensure tax compliance in NYC and NJ.
    • Process all invoices and set up systems in quickbooks for easy payment. 
    • Handle customer-related processes including set up, refunds, exchanges, returns, and maintaining customer records.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • An attention to detail and enjoys organizing and categorizing. 
  • Baseline knowledge in finance, bookkeeping, tax compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in software tools relevant to operations, finance, and communication.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced start-up environment.

Salary:

  • Range: $50,000-$60,000, with benefit package.
