  • How do people affect hurricanes?
  • Who is helping and how can we help?

Connections to Other Resources

This zine is the primary text in our Weathering the Storm project. Kids learn what is a hurricane and how do they form.  They also learn how category 5 hurricanes have become more common, the effects that has on our lives and how we can help to prevent more hurricanes. Kids then create a hurricane impact model and a news report to raise awareness about what we can do to help.
