Take Action Project: Writing a News Story

Summary:

Share information about important topics through the News. Students will learn how to write and deliver a news story that educates and inspires their audience. Students meet CBS News senior news correspondent Ramy Inocencio. Ramy teaches students how to write a structure a news story, select a headline, use evidence, and add a-roll and b-roll footage. Students then write and deliver their news story – with visuals – to an audience. They can pre-record their story or perform live.

Final Project

Write and deliver a news story that educates the audience or compels them to take action.
