Project Title: Story of Me: Chapter One

Mission:

How can I tell the story of who I am and who I am becoming?

Culminating Project

Students create Chapter One of their Story of Me—a personal narrative and artifact that communicate who they are, how they learn, what matters to them, and who they are becoming.

What Kids Learn

In this project, students explore the question How can I tell the story of who I am and who I am becoming? Students investigate their interests, values, strengths, experiences, and learning habits through reflection, discussion, and hands-on activities. They discover that understanding themselves is an ongoing process and that important clues can be found in everyday experiences.

Students explore what motivates them, how memory and focus influence learning, and how strong learners respond when challenges arise. Along the way, they collect evidence about themselves and identify patterns that reveal who they are as people and learners. Students take action by creating Chapter One of their Story of Me, a personal narrative and artifact that communicate who they are, what matters to them, how they learn, and who they are becoming.
