Take Action Project: Songwriting

Summary:

Students will learn the art of songwriting from professional music educators, JuanMa Sanchez and Kelsey Rodriguez. They’ll learn three strategies professional songwriters use: coming up with a great song idea, structuring a song, and coming up with catchy lyrics that compel others to take action. Students will exercise their writing skills while creating an original song that educates the listener about a topic, or compels them to take action.

Final Project

Create an original song that educates others about a topic or compels them to change their behavior.
