Directions: Let’s pretend you are writing a letter to Congress to protect penguins. Penguins are impacted by climate change. As the world gets warmer, penguins home melt. Congress might pass a bill (a law) that can help stop pollution from cars. Car pollution is a big source of climate change. If we can stop pollution from cars, we can fight climate change. This law would help slow climate change. This would help penguins because their home would melt more slowly.

Below is a list of facts about reasons we can help penguins. Some of these reasons appeal to the head. Some of these reasons appeal to the heart.
