B. Debate Prep

Now it’s time to prepare for your debate. In a debate you make an argument.

  1. Pick an answer to these questions: 1) Who should be responsible for helping elephants?
  2. Write your answer.
  3. Pick three arguments or reasons to support your answer. These are your evidence.
  4. Then think of what someone might say when they disagree with you. What are their arguments. This is called a counter argument.

C. Debate it Out!

Once you are done planning your arguments, it’s time for your debate. Find a partner or a group you can discuss with. If you are working by yourself find a time to share your ideas with a friend or family member.
