Take Action Project: Making A Comic Book

Summary:

Students will learn how to write a comic book from professional comic book writer, Regine Sawyer. They’ll learn three strategies professional comic book writers use: creating great characters, designing comic book panels, and using text in comics. Students will enhance their creativity and narrative writing skills while creating an original comic book to teach the reader about a topic or compel them to take action.

Final Project

Create an original comic book that compels others to take action or teaches them about an important topic. Students share their comic book with an authentic audience.
