3.7 Eat the Past Party

Now we’re going to have fun with fossils and the layers of the earth with an “Eat the Past Party!”

You are going to design an edible layers of the Earth model that shows:

1. The ages of different layers of the Earth.
2. The location of a gorilla fossil (which layer might we find gorilla fossils in?).
3. The location of a dinosaur fossil (which layer might you find a dinosaur in?)..

After you make your model, you’ll present it to someone else, and then you’ll eat it together. Yum! Teaching people about the long history of gorillas on Earth is one way to raise awareness and help people appreciate these remarkable creatures.
