What makes a message stick?

A. Six principles of a "Sticky Message"

You saw that any public awareness campaign has to be “sticky” so that the message stays with people and makes them want to take action. Whether offering a challenge, or wearing the color pink, these are ways to make a message memorable.

Dan and Chip Heath are two brothers who wrote a book all about making messages sticky.  Watch the videos below to learn about six principles of making a message sticky.  Then practice sorting the right messages into each principle to check your own understanding.

Part 1: Simple, Unexpected, Concrete

Practice

Time to check your understanding of the first 3 principles.  Read the examples below and move them under the principle they most align to.

Part 2: Credible, Emotional, Stories

Practice

Let’s check your understanding of the last 3 principles.  Read the examples below and move them under the principle they most align to.

B. Your Turn
