Test and Iterate – Feedback From Peers

A. Getting Feedback

A strong community campaign:

  1. Raises awareness about an important topic or issue.
  2. Persuades people to take action to help.
  3. Brings hope and shows support from the community around that topic/issue.

Feedback from your peers can be a good way to collaborate and test your message and campaign with others. First brainstorm a list of feedback questions in your mission log.  Then pick 1-3 people to serve as team members who can give you feedback on your community awareness campaign. Ask them a few select questions you have brainstormed.

B. Using Feedback

Now it’s time to use the feedback you got. Read the feedback. Look for patterns. Usually it is important if more than one person commented on the same thing. Use the patterns to help you revise your message and campaign. Here are some pro tips on using feedback:

Did everyone agree?

If yes, maybe you should make those changes.

Did everyone disagree?

If people have different ideas, pick the one or ones you think are best.

If you are unsure about someone’s feedback or need help editing your campaign, ask your feedback givers for suggestions on how to best revise your campaign. Teamwork and collaboration can make the dream work!
