3.16 Debate: Good or Bad?
A. Debate Prep
Now that you have thought all about the pros and cons of video games, it’s time to prepare for a debate. In a debate, you make an argument. Answer the questions below to prepare for your debate:Â
- Are video games good for us or bad for us? Why?Â
- Write your answer.
- Pick three arguments or reasons to support your answer. These are your evidence.
- Then think of what someone might say when they disagree with you. What are their arguments? This is called a counterargument
B. Debate It Out
Once you are done planning your arguments, it’s time for your debate. Find a partner or a group with whom you can discuss. If you are working by yourself, find a time to discuss your ideas with a partner or group.
