4.6 Collect Your Ideas
A. Brainstorm
It is time to begin the process of making your mural. As you know from watching Eric, an artist doesn’t go straight to painting on a wall – there are a lot of steps along the way!
Your first step is to begin collecting materials for your collage, which will serve as the draft of your mural. You can collect pictures, photographs, words, quotes, or anything else you may want to include in your collage.
As you begin working on your mural, remember to ask yourself the following questions.
Things to think about:
- What matters to you? What message do you want to share?
- Eric often gets input from the community. Is there someone you could brainstorm with about ideas for your mural?
