1.6 What Can I Improve?

A. The Next Step in Your Story

Every character faces challenges, and those challenges help them grow. If everything came easy, there would be no story. In the story of you, it is time to ask what you can get better at.

Even Superman had to work to improve. He had to learn how to fly, how to stay calm under pressure, and how to understand the world around him. Some things came naturally, but others took time, effort, and practice. Step by step, he turned challenges into growth, and you can too.

B. Strong Goals

Before you decide what to improve, it helps to know what makes a strong goal. A strong goal gives you a clear target. It helps you know where to begin and how to tell if you are making progress.

C. Breaking Big Goals Into Small Steps

Now that you know how to build a strong goal, it is time to think about how to work toward it. Big goals can feel overwhelming at first. That is why strong characters, like Superman, break them into smaller, doable steps. These smaller goals help you take action, stay focused, and notice how far you have come. Each small step adds to your story and shows that growth is possible.

Directions: Match each small goal to the strong goal it supports.
